Wāhine Ora

Supporting Māmā and their Tamariki

Our Wāhine Ora group is a space for our Māmā who are expecting or have tamariki under the age of three to gather every week to share space, kōrero and kai with other mama while learning new skills

This kaupapa is about building capability and knowledge within māmā, using mātauranga Māori as a solution to support whānau and create solutions for change.

A key aim is to improve the well-being of children by addressing the needs of Māmā and strengthening the whānau environment, through the avenue of mātauranga Māori to wellness.

Wāhine learn new skills such as mahi toi, raranga, cooking, rongoa and connecting to taiao and much more.

Our team provides transport for wāhine and their pēpi to ensure there are no barriers to their ability to participate.
