Embark on a transformative journey with our Mahinga Kai - Te Hoata programme.

Learn the traditional methods of growing, hunting, harvesting, preparing and processing kai from the whenua, ngāhere, awa and moana to feed your whānau!

  • Learn how to fish, hunt, gather kaimoana and harvest from our taiao.
  • Learn how to butcher, process, preserve and transform your kai.
  • Part time course, 3 days a week starting January 2025
  • 15 people maximum.
  • Gain an NZ Certificate in Māori Food Production, Harvest and management level 3.
