Korokio

Together, we're building stronger foundations for Ngāti Rangi futures.

E oha, ka oha, e Ohakune ki te ao - welcome to the opening of a new world.

We’re excited to share that the first Korokio homes will be completed in early 2026! Korokio offers Ngāti Rangi whānau a rare opportunity to secure warm, safe and affordable homes. Ten brand new three bed-room, two bathroom homes are underway. The first five will be ready in February 2026, with the rest to come. Five more homes are planned for next year.

This kaupapa brings together iwi-led innovation and collective expertise. Te Kūmete o Paerangi provides the investment backing while Nga Waihua o Paerangi provides wrap-around whānau support and local connections. Ka Uruora navigates pathways to home ownership, offering financial coaching and support. Egmont Dixon and TW Group deliver high quality homes.

The first step to accessing any Korokio home is completing Te Uru Ahupūtea, our financial literacy course. It gives you the tools and knowledge to manage your finances and take the next step towards housing. Once completed, you’ll have access to ongoing financial coaching to support your journey.
