Tūranga Ora

Supporting our tāne to create solid foundations

Tūranga Ora is a programme focusing on supporting our tāne to create solid foundations, working on trauma, anxiety, depression, violence and addictions.

We work alongside whānau and reshape mindsets with the help of life skills, goal setting, ruruku, tātai, round table kōrero and learning vital life skills to support them to be the best version of themselves.

There is a particular focus on identity, understanding and embracing individual whakapapa, cultural identity and belonging.

Tāne are supported with learning about their ancestors and their stories to gain a deeper sense and understanding of where they come from, creating a sense of pride and connection to shape their place in the world.

Tūranga Ora is a safe space, allowing for tāne to share their personal journeys, experiences and the ups and downs of everyday life. It also helps to create an environment for tāne to build connections with others in this rohe.

We also follow up with the whānau outside of the Turanga Ora space, ensuring they have extra support if needed.

When:

Wednesday 11am-4pm, weekly

Where:

Te Pae Tata Ohakune

(There will be travel around the rohe, transport is provided).
